This is a very easy badge to get yet I constantly hear of people cheating, creating dummy accounts, and other stupid things just to get a badge, which you can get with a tiny amount of skill and practice. 5 kills in a round is nothing. First I suggest karkand. It's an infantry map for the most part and the paths people use are pretty consistent. There are several methods to getting it but I'm going to go with the defense method for this one. First find a spot where you know people will pass or gather such as a flag. For this example I'm going to use the karkand hotel. Now where you decide to lay in wait is up to you. Some may wait at spawn points of the other team but for this badge you can really get it easily without going that route.
So now that you have a flag you want to lay in wait at you need the advantage...stealth. For this one I used the #13 spot on our list of karkand sneaky spots. The pistol is a very accurate gun and can kill at range but doesn't do a ton of damage. Going toe to toe with most guns you'll get your butt kicked, but at a distance and with a bit of stealth the other player can be in a ton of trouble. I started a new account named you got it "techrejects.com". Now I get into a game after a couple of hiccups with finding a ranked karkand map.
First you want as many tickets as you can to work with so joining a map already well underway just makes the odds of you getting your badge less so find a server just starting karkand with as few as players as possible. This will allow you more tickets to work with.
Now find your perch and begin shooting! I choose for this spot support class since your going to need ammo, you'll go through pistol ammo fast even though you have a nice amount of clips. Also in spot #13 don't expect a ton of passers by to drop off ammo. You can alternatively call for supply drop if your commander is on this planet. Make sure to shot in rapid succession since with the low damage of a pistol if you take to much time the victim can escape from your web!
From this spot you can get defense points and rack up some kills. Don't be discouraged if you don't get it on the first try! The chances are though you will!
Eventually you'll nail the mark.
I got this badge first round I tried. I blocked the names to protect the guys that got whacked identity.
This is just one method of tons! In general the basic and veteran badges are simple to get given a little patience and time.
The veteran badge is just as easy to get as the basic badge however it requires having 50 kills already with the pistol plus the kills in single round. 500 kills for the expert will take some time to rack up. The expert is very very hard to get and thats why its an expert award.
